Purpose
The Title IX Office supports the university’s commitment to maintaining a positive climate for
study and work by fairly and equitably responding to reports of sexual harassment, sexual assault,
domestic and dating violence, and stalking. If you have experience sexual harassment, sexual
assault, domestic and/or dating violence or stalking, there are people at GW and in the community
who want to help you. You don’t have to go through this by yourself.
Services
GW Title IX Policies: GW policies explicitly prohibit sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating
violence, domestic violence and stalking. They also explain the resolution process when a formal
complaint is filed with the Title IX coordinator.
Title IX Office’s Prevention Training Calendar: Prevention education training is offered including
topics such as healthy relationships, bystander intervention, how to respond to disclosures and
designated reporter responsibilities.
Mandatory Title IX Training: All new, first-time students are required to complete an online and
in-person training.
How to Get Help: If you have been affected by sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and/
or dating violence, or stalking there are campus resources to help you.
Title IX Online Reporting Form: Report sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating
violence, and stalking even if you were not directly involved in an incident and even if you would
prefer to remain anonymous.
IT’S OK TO SEEK HELP
The GW Title IX Office wants all students to know that it is OK and encouraged that
you seek help, particularly in the aftermath of a traumatic incident. We offer supportive
resources, care about your well-being and are here to support you.
