Purpose
GW Information Technology (GW IT) is the chief provider of technology infrastructure, services
and applications. We equip students, staff and faculty with the technology know-how and tools
necessary to achieve academic excellence.
Services
Get Started with GW IT:
• Activate Your GW Identity: Set up your password and two-step authentication for your GW
email. You will need your GW email to complete class registration, housing selection and other
requirements.
• Subscribe to GW Status: Receive information and updates about technology services at GW that
community members use regularly.
• Visit the GW IT New Student Guide: Find resources such as technology recommendations for
incoming students.
• Visit IT Help: Access useful How-to guides on how to access IT services.
Access Free Services:
• Activate your free Print Credit: to help offset your printing costs
• Living on Campus: sign in to Xfinity TV to watch your favorite shows, including MAX
• Access software: like MS Office, LinkedIn Learning and Adobe Express
One-stop shop to GW resources:
• Go to the myGW webpage or mobile app (available on Apple App Store or Google Play) to
access academic resources to track grades, browse courses and check your account balance.
