The Student Involvement team focuses on the student experience through
student organizations, leadership programs, and fraternity and sorority
life. The team facilitates involvement and engagement in the campus
community so students can find belonging and connectedness at GW.
Fraternity and Sorority Life:
More than 1,650 students participate in 32 chapters and four councils.

GW Engage:
Your one-stop shop to all the student organizations at GW – a calendar of
activities and events, all student organizations, and more. Most events are

for everyone! Whether you’re looking for an organization that centers
a certain profession, skill, or community, GW’s organizations put on
some of the most highly anticipated campus events and offer endless

The Center for Career Services empowers students to confidently
navigate their career journey by leveraging monumental proximity to
hands-on experience, industry exposure, and employer connections.
We support students at every stage of career development—from
exploring interests and gaining real-world experience to building a
strong professional network and launching impactful careers. Through
personalized coaching, professional development workshops, industry
panels, career fairs, and networking events, we help students connect
their purpose to their career path, equipping them to make a meaningful
difference on a global scale.
Career Coaching Appointments:
Students can sign up for career coaching appointments through
Handshake. Drop-in hours are posted on the main website.
Workshops and Panels:
Workshops include resume and cover letter writing, interviewing and
job search strategies.
Career Events:
In-person, virtual career fairs and industry-focused networking
events and employer site visits are held every semester, giving
students the opportunity to connect directly with hiring employers.
Look out for signature events such as the Career Exploration Expo
and Career Quest!
Industry Newsletters:
Students can sign up for online newsletters produced by the industry
career coaches and stay informed of the latest events, resources,
internships and jobs in their field of interest
Networking:
Network with alumni willing to offer career advice or mentorship at
networking events or via GW Career Connect.
International Opportunities:
We have partnered with Interstride, a portal that helps international
and globally-minded students find jobs and internships.
